So what are your thoughts on the new Doctor Who?

Jodie Whittaker has been announced as Doctor Who's 13th Time Lord - the first woman to be given the role.
The new Doctor's identity was revealed in a trailer broadcast at the end of the Wimbledon men's singles final.
The Broadchurch star succeeds Peter Capaldi, who took over the role in 2013 and leaves in the forthcoming Christmas special.
Whittaker, 35, said it was "overwhelming, as a feminist" to become the next Doctor.
She will make her debut on the sci-fi show when the Doctor regenerates in the Christmas special.

Whittaker said: "I'm beyond excited to begin this epic journey - with Chris and with every Whovian on this planet.
"It's more than an honour to play the Doctor. It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope. I can't wait."

The Sun and Mail Online promptly published nude photographs of Ms. Whittaker in articles covering the announcement that she is the new star of Doctor Who. Both publications ran articles about Whittaker appearing naked or topless in previous acting work, illustrating the stories with stills. The Sun published the photographs under the headline “Dalektable” – a reference to the Daleks, an enemy of the Doctor. The article covered pages four and five of the newspaper and described Whittaker’s “saucy screen past”. Mail Online’s article was headlined “Doctor Nude!” and also featured naked and topless photos of previous male Doctors, including Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant and Matt Smith. Rawwwr!

He's basically a 1000+ year old pedophile in a blue box that kidnaps teenager companions and makes them scream and yell and run away from aliens trying to kill them so he can snog with them later, etc.

The new show is Silicon Valley on HBO:

Procasti is the character Bertram Gilfoyle if you watch it enough.

First The Master became a woman named Missy. Then Doctor Who had Bill, his first lesbian companion (that we know of), and now Doctor Who will become a woman.

Doctor Who as a female:

Already been done.

Because you can't think of a better way to argue. You have no logic, reason, etc just feelings that got hurt over words in some children's scifi show that got rebranded as a young adult show.

About time we get diversity in Doctor Who. I never saw a black person or asian person or a woman as Doctor Who yet. You'... (#161)

d think the UK was mostly white males or something?

No black or asian companions either, no gay companions either. Makes Doctor Who boring.

My guess is that she had a baby boy and tried to return him to the hospital in exchange for a girl? She suffered from post partium depression or something and drinks while trying to take care of a baby boy (did you assume his gender) and dresses the baby up as a girl? So her child is a transgender girl that she teaches how to sing and dance like moma. Trying to save money for a gender change operation.

Either that or she died giving birth and her husband has the PHD so he is too smart to post here?
